Department of Public Works

The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the Village streets and properties.   One such property is the recycling center, where property owners can dispose of their yard waste, including small branches up to 4 feet in length and 6" in diameter.  The recycling center offers free compost and wood chips. For more information about the recycle center click here.  The Department of Public Works will also deliver wood chips for a $55 per load fee, up to 7 yards of chips.  Payment is required prior to delivery, deliveries are made periodically througout the spring and summer.  To order the chips, please contact the Town Hall. Free firewood is available for pickup anytime the yard waste center is open or free delivery of firewood upon request.

Road Construction will begin on Hill Road on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

 

Road work for 2025 will include

Reconstruction and repaving:

Sunset Lane, Sonday Road, Nokoma Drive, Lakeland Drive,

Mohawk Ridge, Hill Road, Indian Head Trail, Cherokee Road, and a portion of Blackhawk Drive.

 

Surface maintenance treatments will be performed on

Breezy Point Road, Blackhawk Drive, Woodlake Cirlce, Highlander Drive, Woodcrest Drive,

Brookhill Road, Wadebridge Road, Parkview Drive, Sudbury Court, Ramsgate Court, Northridge Court, Valley Road
